Ah, tequila, my old nemesis.
Well, not really nemesis, but definitely not friend. Anyways, it was yet again time to go out for someone’s birthday after work. The plan was to just stop by for an hour or two, since I’ve got apartment cleaning to get done (question of the evening, why are there blue crystals around the base of the toilet? Am I peeing copper?), but best layed plans of mice and men and whatnot. I can’t let anything go to waste, so if someone buys two shots, and one has to go to the birthday boy, and Mr. I have to go to the gym and Mr. I have to go to my softball game refuse the second one, well, someone has to take the second shot, because no one should take one alone, right? Fortunetly more people started showing up after the first hour and a half, so I could bow out and work towards being able to leave.
In other news, I almost had a new place to live. Well, I still might, we’ll see around about the time my lease actually expires. Someone at work lost her roommate, and doesn’t want to lose her apartment so she was asking around. She’d found someone by the next day, but isn’t sure how it will work out, so I may still be in the running.
On the one side, it would be $300 per month cheaper than what I pay now, and in a nicer place. With a washer and dryer in the aparment, and my own bedroom and bathroom. On the other side, I’m not sure I want a roommate, since I’m pretty happy living alone, and I’d have to get rid of a lot of my stuff. In particular the refrigerator that I just got less than a year ago. And probably a lot of my other random furnishings. Plus I probably couldn’t get a cat, since she already has two. And falling asleep in the living room every night before heading to bed would probably be right out. And possibly critical, being in southern Orange County would make my fairly frequent trips up to LA to do things even more difficult.
