One more year
Well, I’m 29 now. The birthday went ok, people at work took me out for lunch, and got me cake. And since someone was leaving the company, we also went out to Lucky Strike for the evening towards early morning. While I’m fairly certain that I remember the entire evening, some of it seems a bit more foggy than the rest, and that I remember yelling at an equation someone had written on a napkin (k = A e^(-Ea}/{RT)) in which I expressed a variety of ill wishes for the k.
That’s really one of those things you don’t get very often outside of some really sad gatherings of sciencey people, the Arrhenius equation written on a bar napkin and being used to illustrate the plan for the night. As for exactly how that all works out, I don’t think I’ll really go into. But if you are the kind of person who feels that a pocket protector is a desirable accessory, it’s clever and amusing.
